Use bright, light colours on your walls
Pure white has the highest level of light reflectance, so any natural light that comes into your kitchen will be reflected and amplified. Spring is all about brightness and light so why not add a pop of colour to your kitchen this Spring. If your kitchen is dark or dingy and you need to increase natural light, unfortunately, you might have to forgo a dark, dramatic kitchen or statement feature walls – keep it light, airy and simple with white or a chic light grey. Florals
If there’s one thing we associate with Spring, besides hay fever, it’s flowers. One thing that spring is known for is flowers and lots of them, so why not decorate with some around your space? A bouquet on your windowsill or on a safe space on a countertop is one of the best ways to incorporate some spring joy into your kitchen design without having to make any major design changes. There are plenty of seasonal blooms to take advantage of already! Daffodils bloom everywhere this time of years, as well as tulips and hyacinths, so why not add a splash of nature to the heart of your home? Spring Clean
No one likes cleaning, but Spring does make the opportunity to tidy up a tad. Spring is a time of rebirth and new beginnings, so getting rid of all that rubbish you’ve accumulated over the winter months is a great start. Having less clutter will instantly make your space look larger and feel airier, things that are key in spring kitchen designs. If you’re not fond of having loads of cabinets in your kitchen, or it doesn’t have any, open shelving can be a great alternative that still offers plenty of space for your items, as well as allowing easy access to it all!
